The plane from Kirov to Mineralnye Vody returned to Pobedilovo after takeoff.
On November 16, Azimut flight A4 6014 from Kirov to Mineralnye Vody was due to depart from Pobedilovo Airport. The aircraft lifted off at 19:28, but shortly thereafter the crew decided to return. As Kirov media reported, the reason was negligence by Pobedilovo airport staff, who failed to close the baggage compartment. However, the airport explained that prior to departure the aircraft underwent standard ground handling with no deviations, and the takeoff was also normal. But during the climb the crew detected a malfunctioning decompression valve. The captain decided to stop the climb and return to the departure airport. The landing was safe and without incident. Passengers were transferred to a standby aircraft, on which they flew to Mineralnye Vody, the press service of the government of the Kirov Region clarified.
