Yesterday, October 30, the 4th annual "Safe Childhood" forum took place in Kirov. It brought together those who care about the future of the younger generation. This year the main theme of the forum was patriotic upbringing in the family.
The deputy general director of the regional operator, Sergey Voronin, was one of the speakers, noting that caring for nature is an integral part of patriotism. Eco-education helps instill in children a sense of responsibility and awareness, and thus — to raise true citizens of their country.
After the speech, participants were shown a film about the work of the regional operator and about how waste sorting and participation in eco-projects help change the world around them. At the EcoCenter venue guests were greeted with various activities: an interactive exhibit on recycling, a pedal-powered shredder where you could try shredding plastic caps yourself, and a quiz by volunteers from the "Ecosystem" movement. Even the checkers used in the game were made from recycled materials.
The forum showed that caring for family and nature are links in the same chain. When parents learn to be responsible together with their children, a society is formed that is capable of preserving Russia and its natural wealth.
