Following the death of a minor in an accident, the prosecutor's office found violations by the police and the technical college.
On the night of October 3, 2025, on a section of the highway "Sanchursk — Shishovka — Muserye" in the Sanchursky District, a traffic accident occurred involving a 17-year-old driver of a Nissan Almera. The teenager did not have a license. There were six passengers in the car, five of whom were minors.
According to the prosecutor's office, the young man selected an inappropriate speed, causing the vehicle to skid and overturn. As a result of the accident, three passengers were injured and one minor died.
A criminal case has been opened under para. "v" of part 4 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules that negligently caused a person's death). The progress of the investigation is under the control of the Sanchursky District prosecutor's office.
During the inspection, the prosecutor's office found that preventive work with minors by the territorial police units was sporadic. Certain officials abdicated their duties. At the same time, administrative practices do not correspond to the road accident situation in the district, where an increase in the number of traffic accidents is being recorded, including those involving teenagers.
It was also learned that the administration of the Sanchursk Socio-Economic Technical College, where the driver and three of the passengers studied, did not organize preventive work with students.
Following the inspection, the prosecutor made representations to the head of the Yaransky branch of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (MO MVD) and to the director of the technical college. The Kirov Region prosecutor's office stressed that work to reduce the accident rate and strengthen prevention on the region's roads will continue.
