On Wednesday, October 22, WhatsApp* messenger users reported widespread outages. According to Downdetector, about 420 complaints were received in the last hour alone, and over 2,300 were recorded in the past 24 hours.
Outages were recorded in various regions of Russia: most often in Magadan Oblast (11%), Khabarovsk Krai (7%), Novosibirsk and Sverdlovsk Oblasts (5% each), and in the Republic of Tatarstan (4%).
Residents of Kirov are also reporting problems: many are unable to send messages or receive notifications. Some users note that the app does not load chats and does not display new messages.
