Russians were warned of a rise in resale apartment prices in 2026.
Such a forecast was voiced in a conversation with Gazeta.Ru by the head of Cian.Analytics, Alexey Popov. According to the expert, price growth for move-in ready housing will be slightly above the inflation rate. No significant changes in the relative costs between different cities are expected. A reduction in the key interest rate, which is forecast for the second half of next year, could spur mortgage lending at market rates and increase demand for secondary housing by about 15%. At the same time, the volume of supply, analysts estimate, will remain roughly at the current level — some owners who rented out apartments in 2024 will return to the sales market. According to the federal portal Mir Kvartir, as of the end of the third quarter of 2025 secondary housing became more expensive in 53 Russian cities by an average of 1.5%, to 122,400 rubles per square meter.
