They want to solve the traffic problem in Raduzhny by changing the direction of traffic.
We wrote about complaints from Raduzhny residents concerning the traffic arrangement on Constitution Street (from Builders' Avenue to Shkolny Lane) here. To put it briefly — the road used to be two-way, now it is one-way, and it is very inconvenient.
At today's meeting it was announced that in September there had been a vote on social media, the results of which were then discussed at the public council. As a result it was decided to change the traffic arrangement, namely to change the direction of travel toward Shkolny Lane rather than Builders' Avenue. An additional pedestrian crossing will also be installed. These changes are now being incorporated into the plan; it will be sent to the State Traffic Inspectorate for approval in the next few days. Then, after about a month, traffic will be changed.
Deputy Alexander Nikulin, to whom people originally addressed their complaints, even though it is not his district, noted that, first, he doubts residents will be satisfied with this option, and second, he believes it necessary to see the work through — that is, to do everything possible to restore two-way traffic. However, the district deputy and some others present disagreed, agreeing that the aforementioned measure would be quite sufficient.
