Russian Post will receive 17 billion rubles from the budget.

      Of the total 15 billion rubles (5 billion annually), funding will be allocated for the modernization of 2,600 branches in rural and hard‑to‑reach areas, where about 2.4 million people live. Kommersant reports this, citing a statement by the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadaev. Another 2.1 billion rubles is earmarked to compensate the company's losses for delivering socially important printed publications from 2026 to 2028. Earlier, in 2021–2025, Russian Post already received budget funds to modernize 3,300 branches. The Ministry of Digital Development noted that these investments improved access to communication services and modern services for 8 million residents across 78 regions of the country. The ministry asserts that the use of budgetary investments is under constant oversight.
