An investigation into an accident at the Iskozh plant in Kirov has been completed.
The State Labor Inspectorate has completed the investigation of an accident that occurred on August 29 at the Iskozh enterprise. During repairs to a station of an injection-molding machine, a repair mechanic used a homemade support. While descending he lost his balance, fell onto the concrete floor and sustained serious injuries. Medical personnel classified the injuries as severe.
The inspection found that equipment unsuitable for this type of repair was used when organizing the work. The enterprise lacked an approved technological regulation, and no occupational safety training or knowledge testing had been conducted. The matter of holding the company and the responsible individuals administratively liable is now under consideration.
