Doctors at the Center for Traumatology, Orthopedics and Neurosurgery performed a successful operation on a 49-year-old man. According to the Ministry of Health, he had been suffering from severe pain and recurrent dislocations of the shoulder joint.
The injury occurred while snowboarding. After the fall the patient sustained a shoulder dislocation, which later recurred and the pain intensified. During the examination specialists identified a serious tendon injury that caused impaired mobility of the arm.
Surgeons performed an arthroscopic operation during which they placed fixation devices and restored the integrity of the tendon. Just three days after the procedure the man was discharged home for outpatient treatment and rehabilitation.
