A 17-year-old female drug addict in Kirov was convicted.
On January 13 of this year a 17-year-old resident of Kirov illegally purchased for personal use and was carrying a narcotic substance with a total weight of 3.25 grams. The same day the girl was detained by officers of the UKON division of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kirov Region on suspicion of illegal drug trafficking. During a search the police found and seized the drug.
It should be noted that the girl had previously been convicted for a series of thefts. This time she was found guilty of an offense under Part 2 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition and possession of narcotic substances in a large amount). The investigation gathered conclusive evidence implicating the 17-year-old Kirov resident in the charged act. The criminal case was referred to the court for trial.
Taking into account her prior convictions, the minor was sentenced to two years and 20 days of imprisonment, to be served in a juvenile correctional colony. In addition, she was fined 43,000 rubles.
