
A man in the Luzsky District illegally killed a moose.
On October 4, a state inspector for wildlife protection contacted the duty unit of the intermunicipal department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Luzsky". He reported a detected case of illegal hunting. An investigative-operational team was dispatched to the scene, 50 km from the district center. It was established that a 40-year-old local resident had taken a moose without a permit. The carcass of the killed animal was in the cargo bed of an off-road vehicle — a "Karakat". An axe and a hunting rifle were seized from the man. He admitted his guilt. A decision was made to initiate a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal hunting).
