As reported by the press service, the emergency was caused by misuse of the sewer system. To resolve the incident, specialists pumped out wastewater and connected a high-pressure flushing unit. The work was carried out without shutting down the drainage system, and residents continued to use the water supply.
At Vodokanal, they reminded residents that personal hygiene items, food scraps, pet litter and small trash should not be thrown into the sewer. Such waste is the most common cause of blockages and emergencies.
