On Wednesday, October 1, the contractor was laying the top layer of asphalt concrete on the drive from Enthusiasts Street to Kindergarten No. 27, the Kirov mayor’s office reported. The work on arranging the drive will be carried out over the course of two shifts, a contractor representative said.
“It may be possible to fully open the carriageway to traffic as early as Thursday. For this, we completed the arrangement of pedestrian zones and lawn areas, and routed all utility lines for lighting and the stormwater system. In addition, we installed protection for the communication cables and the water supply system that were previously laid here,” said the head of the GDMS road-construction section, Andrey Lelekov.
After the work on the road section is completed, a technological pause will be observed, which is necessary for the subsequent application of road markings. Traffic signs will also be installed.
