According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kirov Region, as of October 1 this year the region produced 2,262.8 tonnes of milk — one and a half percent more than in 2024. The average daily milk yield per cow was 24.4 kg — 0.3 kg more than in the same period last year. The leader in daily gross milk production was Kumensky District, where this figure reached 305.1 tonnes. The ministry noted that cows on farms in Vyatskopolyansky, Pizhansky, Sovetsky and Sunsky districts produce more than 26 kg of milk per day.
