In Kirov Oblast, 78 people are over 100 years old, of whom 66 are women and 12 are men. The oldest woman, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, turned 104 in February of this year, and the oldest man, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, turned 102 in June.
According to the Kirov Oblast branch of the Russian Social Fund, more than 403,000 residents of the region receive pensions. Of these, more than 340,000 receive insurance-based old-age pensions, the average amount of which is over 24,400 rubles. State and social pensions are also paid in the region, and some pensioners are entitled to additional supplements, for example for rural work experience or for having dependents.
