Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced this at a government meeting, RIA Novosti reports. According to the head of the cabinet, the relevant amendments have already been prepared: "From January 1 next year the minimum wage will be 27,093 rubles. This measure will contribute to wage growth for about 4.5 million people," Mishustin noted. The increase in the minimum wage will affect not only public-sector workers but also all payments and benefits tied to the minimum wage, including sick pay and maternity benefits.
