In the Verkhnekamsky District, a man stabbed his drinking companion nine times.

      Officers of the Verkhnekamsky department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs have solved a case involving the intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm on a man living in the settlement of Lesnoy. The day before, the alleged assailant — a local resident born in 1971 — and the victim were visiting. While drinking alcohol, a conflict erupted between them, during which the suspect inflicted nine knife wounds on the victim. Police officers arrived at the scene and detained the man there.

      A criminal case has been opened against the Lesnoy resident on suspicion of an offence under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The man has been detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code. A decision is currently being made on whether to remand him in custody.
