The Kirov Oblast Prosecutor's Office identified more than 300 violations in summer camps.
At a meeting of an interagency working group at the regional prosecutor’s office, the results of oversight activities for the summer period were summarized. Special attention was paid to ensuring the rights and safety of children in camps. Inspections involving specialists from Rospotrebnadzor and fire safety authorities revealed breaches of sanitary and fire-safety requirements, violations of labor legislation, and insufficient supervision of children, which in some cases led to injuries. Violations were also recorded in the organization of food services — ranging from the absence of labeling on products to failure to comply with storage rules.
A separate area of concern was identified attempts to organize illegal camps for minors. According to the prosecutor’s office, response measures were taken against 20 organizers.
In total, prosecutors issued more than 150 official notices, as a result of which the identified violations were eliminated.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of major repairs to the region’s educational institutions. In 2025, under the state program “Development of Education,” 14 facilities in Kirov, Kirovo-Chepetsk, Kotel'nich, Luza, Vyatskiye Polyany and districts of the region were scheduled for renovation. To date, half of the facilities have already been completed, and the remainder are at an advanced stage of readiness.
The prosecutor’s office emphasized that inspections and control measures will continue.
