A resident of the Orichevsky District attempted to stab an acquaintance.

      In the Orichevsky District, a 52-year-old man has been accused of attempted murder, the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov Region reported. The incident occurred on July 9 in the village of Pustoshi, where the accused, while intoxicated, inflicted two knife blows to his acquaintance’s heart area and attempted to strike his neck. The crime was prevented thanks to the intervention of a witness, and the victim was promptly hospitalized by doctors. A criminal case has been opened against the 52-year-old man. He is accused of a crime under part 3 of article 30 and part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder). The investigation has collected evidence confirming the suspect’s guilt. The case has been transferred to court for consideration on the merits. The preventive measure of pretrial detention remains in effect until the court’s decision.
