Potato yields have decreased in Kirov Oblast.

      As the agency reported, according to operational data as of 1 September 2025 agricultural organizations have threshed 82 thousand hectares of grain and leguminous crops — almost a third of the sown area of these crops.

      Some 260 thousand tonnes of grain have been harvested (in the initially recorded weight). Two percent of oilseed crop plantings have been harvested (0.3 thousand hectares), yielding 0.5 thousand tonnes of seed. Gross potato production amounted to 150 tonnes: only 4% of its planted area has been dug up. Open-field vegetables totaled 165 tonnes: the harvest was gathered from 10.5 hectares — one-fifth of the planted area of these vegetables.

      Kirovstat noted that compared with last year the yield of grain and leguminous crops so far is 1.3 times higher, that of oilseed crops is 1.4 times higher, while potato yield per hectare is almost halved and vegetable yield is 12% lower.
