Sokolov on Lipatnikov Avenue: "We are awaiting the Ministry of Construction's decision."
Speaking in his address, Alexander Sokolov noted that a new road — Lipatnikov Avenue — is planned to be built in Kirov. This year the authorities signed an agreement with local contractors to carry out the project. "We have submitted an application to the Ministry of Construction and are awaiting a decision. I hope it will be positive," the governor said.
Sokolov also spoke about major road projects being carried out in the region. In particular, the project to build a road to the northwest — to Luza — is ongoing. The work is being funded from the regional budget.
The reconstruction of a 25-kilometer section of the Vazyuk–Oparino road is nearing completion. In addition, the reconstruction of a 16-kilometer section of the Pinyug–Skryabino road is underway and will be completed in 2026.
A contract has been signed for the reconstruction of the bridge over the Pushma River. A major repair project is being developed for the Pinyug–Podosinovets and Almezh–Skryabino road sections, with a total length of 59 kilometers; the work is planned to be completed by 2028.
In addition, the issue of allocating federal funds for the bridge over the Pizhma River, which was declared unsafe six years ago, is currently being worked out. Sokolov expressed hope that the region will receive funding at least through 2028.
