      During patrol operations at the 532nd kilometer of the main shipping channel in Kotelnichsky District, a 25-year-old man was found. He was fishing with a 25-meter net and had managed to catch several bream, violating the fishing regulations of the Volga–Caspian basin. On the same day, at the 349th kilometer of the river in Lebyazhsky District, law enforcement detained another local resident. He had set up a 70-meter fixed net and caught 15 white bream. According to the police, the poachers' actions caused damage to the region's natural resources amounting to more than 10,000 rubles. Criminal cases have been opened against the men under Article 256 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal harvesting of aquatic biological resources). They face up to two years' imprisonment.
