63% of Kirov residents dream of traveling to China: most want to see the Great Wall.

      The greatest interest is shown by young people under 35 — 76% of respondents in this group dream of visiting China. Among older respondents, the share of those who want to go is less than half. The gender difference is small: 65% of men would consider the trip, compared with 60% of women.

      Income also affects the plans of Kirov residents. 55% of respondents earning up to 50,000 rubles a month would like to go to China, and 73% of those earning over 100,000 rubles a month. The average budget for a week-long trip was 115,000 rubles per person. Young people are willing to spend more (122,000) than older survey participants. The higher the income, the higher the planned expenses: 108,000 rubles for those earning less than 50,000 rubles a month, and 124,000 rubles for those earning more than 100,000 rubles a month.

      The main dream of Kirov tourists in China is to see the Great Wall of China (33%). Women name it as a travel goal more often, while men more often choose Beijing and Shanghai. The top five preferences also included the Forbidden City, Guangzhou and the Shaolin Monastery.

      Those who have already visited China were satisfied with the trip in most cases (84%). The most frequently mentioned positives in comments were the hospitality of local people, the architecture and the sights. Kirov residents also rated beach vacations, nature and local cuisine positively.

Since the visa‑free regime with China came into effect, interest in trips to China among Kirov residents has noticeably increased. According to a SuperJob survey, 63% of the city's economically active residents would like to travel to the PRC.
