In Kirov, residents were left without gas because neighbors refused to let the gas workers in.
At the end of August, during a routine inspection at 24/2 Koltsova Street one of the owners did not open the door to representatives of the gas company. As a result, ten apartments were left without gas. A similar situation occurred at 140 Moskovskaya Street, where people have been living without gas for three months.
According to residents, the gas workers are effectively shirking responsibility and are suggesting that they negotiate with the "inconvenient" neighbor themselves. The property management companies are also shrugging their shoulders, even though they are the ones who should, in such cases, go to court and secure access to the apartment.
In the meantime, residents have to buy electric hotplates and kettles, spend extra money on electricity and endure everyday inconveniences. To defend residents' rights, representatives of the Kirov branch of the All-Russia People's Front have sent a complaint to the prosecutor's office.
Earlier we already reported that nine apartments at 140 Moskovskaya Street were left without gas after an equipment inspection. At that time one of the owners refused to let the specialists in, and nine families—among them pensioners and people with disabilities—were left without the resource. People had to go to their dachas or switch to electric hotplates. The People's Front then also threatened to hand the materials over to the prosecutor's office if the gas company did not resolve the problem.

In Kirov, residents were left without gas because neighbors refused to let the gas workers in.
Scandals over gas shutoffs in apartment buildings continue in Kirov. Residents are being held hostage by a situation in which a single neighbor, for one reason or another, refuses to let gas technicians in to inspect the equipment, while the utilities, instead of seeking access through the courts, shut off the entire riser.
