Storm drains are being cleaned in Kirov.

      At the moment, manholes, collectors, pipelines and grates on the drainage channels are being cleaned. Leaves and debris that could cause flooding are being removed from them.

      According to Danil Glebov, foreman at JSC Gordormoststroy, specialized hydro-jetting equipment is being used: high-pressure water cleans the entire line while simultaneously providing rainwater drainage.

      On Leningradskaya Street and at the intersection of Orlovskaya with Svoboda and Vladimirskaya, crews are installing drainage channels on the sidewalks to prevent flooding during the rainy season. Similar systems were previously installed on Nikitskaya and Truda streets.

      In addition, some workers are repairing stormwater inlet and collector manholes. Because of deteriorated brickwork, the asphalt is subsiding and the storm drains are becoming clogged, so the contractor is replacing the brickwork, installing shaft rings and cover slabs, and adjusting the level of the manhole collars. These works are already underway on Kalinina, Vorovskogo and Lepse streets.
