In Vyatskiye Polyany, a teenager stabbed a friend with a knife.

      On April 26 of this year, during a verbal quarrel, a 17-year-old teenager inflicted a single stab wound to the abdomen of an 18-year-old acquaintance. The victim sustained bodily injuries that resulted in serious bodily harm. The incident occurred in one of the courtyards on Shkolnaya Street in the city of Vyatskiye Polyany.

      A criminal case was opened against the teenager. He was found guilty of the crime provided for in subparagraph “z” of part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of serious bodily harm with the use of an item employed as a weapon). The investigator collected conclusive evidence incriminating the defendant in the commission of the charged act. This made it possible to refer the case to court for consideration on the merits.

      By the court’s verdict the minor was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment, suspended with a two-year probationary period. At present the sentence has not yet entered into legal force.
