The prosecutor's office demanded that utility tariffs be adjusted by 5.7 billion rubles.
In a recent interview with RBC, Russia's Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov said that in a number of cases tariffs included expenses unrelated to utility services. The most egregious of these were corporate events, online training courses, employee trips, vacations for family members, as well as the purchase of executive-class cars and off-site seminars.
According to Krasnov, following inspections the prosecutor's office demanded that tariffs be adjusted by more than 5.7 billion rubles. He noted that the agency's staff will pay special attention to cases of such abuse.
