Schoolchildren are advised to pay their fares in cash.
Kirov residents are increasingly complaining that when paying for public transport their bank cards end up on a stop list. The Central Dispatch Service of the city passenger transport explained the reasons for such situations.
A failure can occur due to technical problems when the bank requests withdrawal of funds. In addition, a payment will not go through if there are insufficient funds in the account or if the card is blocked.
Schoolchildren are particularly vulnerable: while adults quickly find a way out, children can become confused. Therefore parents are advised to check the balance on a child's card and give the child cash in case the terminal refuses the transaction.
The CDS also stressed that debiting funds on transport differs from the usual operations in stores. Payment systems allow it to be carried out later than when the trip took place.
All inquiries regarding the system's operation are handled at the claims center of the MBU “CDS GPT” at 2a Pyatnitskaya Street.
