On September 9 it was reported that a child was injured at one of the playgrounds on Morozovskaya Street. According to the regional Investigative Committee, a fragment of a playground slide structure fell on the boy. The child received medical assistance, and the Investigative Committee, in turn, initiated a probe under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements).
Today, September 11, the agency described the circumstances of the incident: one of the boys climbed onto the roof of the play structure, after which a fragment of it fell on the head of another schoolboy. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the acting head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Kirov Oblast, Maksim Kozlov, to report on the progress and results of the procedural check.
The execution of the instruction, as well as the progress of the procedural check, have been placed under supervision by the agency’s central office.
