A Kirov fighter restored radio communications while under attack by a drone.

      At a weekly meeting, Governor Alexander Sokolov reported that the regional government had received a letter from the command of one of the military units where residents of the region serve. The document notes the courage and heroism of Kirov residents and also describes a specific feat by one of the soldiers.

      According to Sokolov, a radio operator, while on duty, detected a malfunction in the radio link of the wireless broadband access — the connection between the units and an auxiliary command post was absent. The serviceman set out for the relay point and, while en route, was attacked by an enemy drone but managed to evade it and reach the site. He restored the radio link, which allowed the command to make timely decisions and reduce casualties among the personnel.

      "This is a manifestation of true love for the Motherland and a sense of responsibility that is characteristic of Kirov's fighters," the governor said.
