Russians were promised a rise in pensions in October.
This was reported to Gazeta.Ru by Igor Balynin, a PhD in economics and an associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
According to him, the insurance old‑age pensions of such pensioners will be increased by 10.2 thousand rubles. The supplement consists of a fixed payment (8.9 thousand rubles) and a compensation for care (1.3 thousand rubles). Thus, if the pension in September was about 37 thousand rubles, in October it will exceed 47 thousand rubles.
The economist clarified that the recalculation will be carried out automatically — there will be no need to contact the Social Fund of Russia.
In addition, from October the pensions of military pensioners, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD), the FSB, the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) and a number of other security agencies will be indexed by 7.6%. The indexation was initially planned at 4.5%.
Balynin added that recipients of pension supplements — members of civil aviation flight crews and workers in the coal industry — may, if necessary, update their information until September 30. In that case the recalculation will be applied from November.

The staff of the Urzhum Central District Hospital has been bolstered by nine young professionals. Three doctors and six mid-level medical workers started work. All of them are from the Urzhum district and decided to return home after completing their studies.
Pediatrician Regina Nikulina, dentist Anastasia Chernyshova and radiologist Anna Charushina have already begun seeing patients. The mid-level medical workers have been assigned to work in the inpatient department and the hospital’s rural units.
A preliminary inquiry has been launched into the fatal fire at the Kalinka gardening association.
