In Kirov, the driver of a VAZ was killed in a traffic accident.
The most serious crash occurred in the morning in Kirov’s Novovyatsky district. On Proektnaya Street a VAZ-2114 driven by a 37-year-old man collided with a Lada Vesta. After the impact the VAZ-2114 overturned and crashed into a building. The driver of the car died at the scene.
In the Tuzhinsky district on the Vyatka federal highway a 23-year-old Mercedes driver lost control, went off the road, rammed a barrier and collided with a VAZ-2121. Two female passengers of the domestic car were injured — aged 67 and 73.
Another accident occurred in Kirov on Lenin Street: a backhoe loader collided with a Lada Priora. The 36-year-old driver of the passenger car was injured.
A major accident was recorded in the Orlovsky district on the Kostroma–Sharya–Kirov–Perm highway, where four cars collided. As a result the driver of a Lada Kalina and a passenger of a Hyundai Tucson were injured.

The staff of the Urzhum Central District Hospital has been bolstered by nine young professionals. Three doctors and six mid-level medical workers started work. All of them are from the Urzhum district and decided to return home after completing their studies.
Pediatrician Regina Nikulina, dentist Anastasia Chernyshova and radiologist Anna Charushina have already begun seeing patients. The mid-level medical workers have been assigned to work in the inpatient department and the hospital’s rural units.
A preliminary inquiry has been launched into the fatal fire at the Kalinka gardening association.
