The government extended the ban on gasoline exports.

      The Russian Government’s website reports the introduction of a new temporary ban on gasoline exports from September 1 of this year. The ban will be in effect until October 31, 20925, inclusive.

      It is reported that the ban applies to all exporters, including direct producers. Restrictions for producers will be in effect from September 1 to September 30, while for non-producers the ban on gasoline exports will remain in place for an additional month — until October 31.

      The export ban, as stated on the Russian government’s website, is aimed at maintaining a stable situation in the domestic fuel market.

      Recall that the previous ban on gasoline exports was established by the Government of Russia in February of this year. It is in force from March 1 to August 31, inclusive.
