A new feldsher-midwife station opened in Orichevsky District.
On August 27 a new feldsher-obstetric station (FAP) began operating in the village of Usovy in the Orichevsky district. It became the sixth facility of the local central district hospital to receive a new building under the program to modernize primary healthcare. The village's previous FAP had served for several decades. The new building is equipped with modern offices and equipment, which will allow not only seeing patients but also carrying out tests, administering injections, and issuing electronic sick-leave certificates and referrals to doctors. The honor of cutting the red ribbon at the opening was given to the local feldsher, Mikhail Kostin, who has worked here for more than two years. In the summer he was awarded a certificate of honor for conscientious work. The chief physician of the Orichevsky Central District Hospital, Elena Lekomtseva, said that two more FAPs are planned to open in the district in the near future — in the villages of Shalegovo and Bystritsa.
