In Kirov, the safety of pedestrian crossings near schools and kindergartens is being checked.

      In Kirov, preparations for the start of the new school year are underway. Specialists from the Directorate for Urban Improvement are inspecting pedestrian crossings located near educational institutions. Special attention is being paid to the width and height of the pavement markings and to the visibility of road signs. All work is being closely monitored, the Kirov administration reported. They are due to be completed by September 1. It should be noted that there are about 1,100 pedestrian crossings in the city in total, 154 of them are located at schools and kindergartens. There the markings are applied with wear-resistant plastic, and bright yellow stripes are additionally used.
