On September 6, an "ONKOpost" campaign will be held at the Verkhnekamsk Central District Hospital. From 8 a.m., specialists from Kirov will be seeing patients, including oncologists, dermatologists, breast specialists, urologists, coloproctologists, gynecologists and otolaryngologists. The examinations will also include ultrasound diagnostics and mammography for women over 40 when medically indicated.
According to the Ministry of Health's estimate, about 500–600 people will be able to participate. Specialists from the Health Center will also join, performing rapid blood tests for cholesterol and glucose and anthropometric measurements to assess physical parameters.
Special attention will be paid to dental examinations. Local residents will be offered an oral cavity examination and autofluorescence stomatoscopy, which can detect mucosal changes that may indicate a risk of developing oncological disease.
Medical volunteers will be working during the event. They will provide information on cancer prevention, the principles of a healthy lifestyle, and teach breast self-examination techniques.
Residents of the Verkhnekamsky and Omutninsky districts will be able to undergo the examinations. Transportation will be organized for those who wish. Details can be obtained from the district administration.
