A man who was brutally beaten by a Kirov resident died in the hospital.

      On the evening of August 6, a 53-year-old intoxicated resident of Kirov was in the entrance of one of the buildings on Gorokhovskaya Street. During a verbal altercation with a resident of the building he inflicted multiple blows with his hands and feet to the latter's head and body. From the injuries sustained, the victim died in hospital on August 20.

      The Kirov resident has been charged with the crime provided for in Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of serious bodily harm that, through negligence, resulted in the victim's death). At the request of the investigation, the court has remanded the accused in custody. At present, investigative actions are underway in the criminal case aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident, as well as collecting and securing the evidence.
