The Government of Kirov Oblast has approved a decree to reimburse part of the costs of municipal districts and okrugs for compensating hunters for the taking of wolves.

According to the regional Ministry of Natural Resources, this concerns expenses for the period from November 2024 to June 2025. Just over 1 million rubles has been allocated from the regional budget for these purposes; 25 municipalities will receive the funds.
The ministry emphasized that the payments to hunters are aimed at regulating predator numbers and ensuring the safety of the region's residents.
