Kirov Oblast sent more than 14,000 cubic meters of coniferous timber to Iraq.
Since the beginning of 2025, Kirov Region has exported approximately 14,630 cubic meters of coniferous sawn timber, including spruce and pine, to Iraq. A total of 205 phytosanitary certificates were issued for the entire consignment. On August 19, Rosselkhoznadzor for Kirov Region, the Udmurt Republic and Perm Krai supervised the shipment of 206.5 cubic meters of sawn timber; during the inspection samples were taken and sent for testing to the Kirov branch of the FSBI "VNIICR." Laboratory testing confirmed the absence of quarantine pests. Based on the conclusions regarding the phytosanitary condition of the timber, the product owners were issued the corresponding certificates, enabling the continued export of safe products outside the region.
