Kirov Oblast exported birch cuttings to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan for the first time.
On August 15, 2025, the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for the Kirov Region, the Udmurt Republic and Perm Krai carried out a quarantine phytosanitary inspection of 25,000 birch cuttings intended for export to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The selected samples were sent to the Kirov branch of the FSBI "VNIICR" for laboratory analysis, which confirmed the absence of quarantine pests characteristic of the importing countries. A phytosanitary certificate was issued for the consignment. Since the beginning of 2025, 295,000 birch cuttings have already been exported from the Kirov Region and 12 phytosanitary certificates have been issued. For comparison, during the same period in 2024 no birch cuttings were exported from the region.
