      The regional operator is encouraging the transition to new rear-loading garbage trucks and is renewing the container fleet across the region. Between 2022 and 2025 the container fleet in Yaransk and the Yaransky District was almost completely renewed — 543 plastic Euro containers were delivered, representing 99.6% of the required volume. The Yaransk landfill, which until recently was seen as a source of environmental concern, is now becoming a growth point for the introduction of modern solutions in solid municipal waste management. The landfill’s operational life ends in 2027, so active work is underway to prepare for the construction of a new, modern solid municipal waste management complex. The complex will include a waste-sorting station and a waste disposal facility, which will, by recovering secondary raw materials, reduce the volume of waste sent to landfill and contain the growth of costs and tariffs. The new complex is scheduled to be commissioned in 2028. The regional operator maintains operational communication with haulers and the administration of Yaransky District to jointly resolve all issues. At the same time, work is underway to improve the condition of the existing landfill. MUP “Vodokanal” — the local hauler and operator of the facility — with the support of the regional operator is carrying out restoration work on the facility’s internal structures and clearing the surrounding area of waste. All these measures are being implemented to achieve the goals of the national project “Environmental Well‑being” and are aimed at improving the quality of life of Yaransk residents. The creation of modern waste management infrastructure will ensure cleanliness, safety and a comfortable urban environment for years to come.
