
Olimpia signed a contract with a new defender.
As reported on the hockey club Olimpiya’s Telegram channel, a contract with 28-year-old defenseman Mikhail Epishin has been signed through the end of the 2025–2026 season.
Mikhail Epishin is a product of the Podolsk Vityaz school. He began his professional career in the 2014–2015 season, playing in the MHL (Junior Hockey League) for Russkie Vityazi.
In 2015–2016 he made his Kontinental Hockey League debut for Vityaz, and the following season he played in the All-Russian Hockey League for the Tver hockey club. In the VHL he also played for Dynamo St. Petersburg, Ryazan and Yugra, and in the 2024–2025 season for Sokol.
In total Epishin played 74 KHL games, scoring 2 points, and 310 VHL games, with 60 points and a plus-minus rating of +60.
