More than a thousand teenagers worked in Kirov during the summer.
The Kirov mayor’s office reported that the third shift of the program to employ teenagers is currently underway: young people aged 14 to 18 are working in education, sports and cultural institutions. Teenagers are employed as groundskeepers, general laborers and cleaners. A teenager’s workday is three hours long, and each shift lasts 15 days.
The city administration said that territorial offices initially screened employers for hiring teenagers. Applications were then accepted from the youths. Priority was given to minors on record with the authorities and to children from large families. A total of 1,091 teenagers are taking part in the summer employment campaign.
The summer employment campaign in Kirov will conclude on August 22. Outstanding participants will be additionally honored at a ceremony that day.
