Exports of birch sticks for ice cream from Kirov Oblast to China increased by 22%.
Since the beginning of 2025, 13,500 tonnes of birch ice cream sticks have been exported from Kirov Oblast to China — 22% more than over the same period in 2024, when the volume of shipments amounted to 11,100 tonnes.
On August 8, 2025, the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for Kirov Oblast, the Udmurt Republic and Perm Krai monitored the dispatch of another batch — 168 tonnes of product.
Prior to export, all products underwent documentary and laboratory control at the Kirov branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution (FGBU) "VNIICR". Laboratory tests did not detect quarantine pests, and the products fully comply with China's international phytosanitary requirements.
Based on positive conclusions regarding the phytosanitary quarantine status, 78 phytosanitary certificates were issued, confirming the quality and safety of the supplied products.
The growth in exports attests to the high quality and competitiveness of Kirov's birch sticks on the international market.
