A woman from Kirov believed the fortune-teller and lost money.

A 46-year-old woman from Kirov contacted an online "fortune-teller" after seeing her advertisement on social media. The interlocutor assured her that she needed to be "cleansed" through remote rituals. The "fortune-teller" asked her to pay for the purchase of necessary "magical" items. The woman believed her and sent the scammer 52,000 rubles to the specified account. The next day, the "witch" contacted the victim again and claimed that this amount was insufficient, and she needed an additional 11,000 rubles for "spirit dispensation," but when the woman tried to transfer the money this time, the bank blocked the transaction. She then contacted the bank's technical support, where she was told she had been communicating with scammers. The victim reported the incident to the police. A criminal case has been initiated, and an investigation is ongoing.
