"Vodokanal" will sue Kirov residents for 50 million rubles
The Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Vodokanal" initiated pre-investigation checks regarding debtors among management companies and homeowners' associations. As of August 1, 2025, the total debt for cold water supply and wastewater disposal exceeded 50 million rubles.
In connection with this, "Vodokanal" filed reports with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kirov city, concerning the initiation of criminal cases under Article 165 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — "Causing property damage through deception or abuse of trust." This concerns several organizations which, according to the company, collected money from residents but did not transfer it to the resource supplier.
The company urges management companies and homeowners' associations to strictly adhere to financial discipline and promptly transfer funds received from owners to the accounts of the resource supply organization. These payments ensure the stable operation of the water supply and sewage system in Kirov.
