Reminder, the competition has been held on Vyatka land for over 10 years in a row. Initially, it was designed for schools and kindergartens, then libraries and museums joined, followed by cultural centers and centers for additional education, and in recent years – multi-apartment buildings as well.
– This year, due to numerous requests, we added another category – for owners of garden plots and private houses. So our gardeners have a wonderful chance to showcase their handcrafted beauty, win valuable prizes and gifts, – said Oleg Valenchuk.
Gardeners responded enthusiastically to the news, as many indeed have something to boast about. For example, Svetlana Terekhova's plot in the "Zolotaya Osen" (Golden Autumn) gardening cooperative, where Oleg Valenchuk visited, is breathtaking. From afar, it appears as a single vibrant carpet. But it is not just a floral riot, but carefully crafted, thoughtful composition, where each flower, each shrub is a unique masterpiece with its own story, the result of meticulous care.
Svetlana's collection truly impresses with its diversity. Modest groundcover plants coexist here, creating an irresistible charm reminiscent of alpine slides, alongside luxurious climbing roses ascending arches and walls, enveloping everything around in a cloud of delicate fragrances. Next to them are majestic clematises. The variety of shapes, sizes, and shades creates a unique play of light and shadow, making the heart beat faster with delight.
Svetlana's garden is a carefully thought-out ecosystem, where each flower has its special place.
– I saw with my own eyes that many plots are not just vegetable growing sites, but living laboratories where new floral masterpieces are born, – shared Oleg Valenchuk. – It’s especially pleasing that floriculture brings together very different people. Thanks to a shared passion, neighbors get to know each other not only in urban apartment complexes but also in gardening associations. Let’s all work together to improve our habitat and make our native Vyatka land beautiful and flowering!
