      The activity of ticks in the Kirov region has decreased by 12%.

      Since July, there has been a decline in tick activity in the Kirov region. Over the past week, the number of people seeking medical assistance after bites has decreased by 12.47%. Among children, the decrease was 25.19%.

      Most victims encountered ticks in the forest, at the dacha, and near private houses. The majority did not use protective tick repellents.

      It should be noted that acaricidal treatments are ongoing in areas of mass recreation within the region. Since the start of the season, 3,219 hectares have been processed, with 833 hectares corresponding to school and countryside camps.

      Over the past week, more than two thousand residents of the region have been affected by tick bites. Nearly 2.4 thousand residents sought medical help due to ticks.
