The court has ordered the contractor to re-lay the tiles at the school in Kirovo-Chepetsk.

      A court case between the administration of School No. 7 in Kirovo-Chepetsk and the "Gradstroy" company, which carried out major repairs at the educational institution, has been concluded in the Kirov Region. The dispute was initiated due to defects in ceramic tiles discovered some time after the completion of the work.

      According to the decision of the Kirov Region Arbitration Court, confirmed by the ruling of the Second Arbitration Court of Appeal, the contractor is obliged to rectify the deficiencies made during the renovation. This applies to several rooms on the first, second, third floors, and the basement.

      Expertise revealed that the destruction of the tiles was caused by improper application of coating over old layers of paint without proper surface preparation. The company is now required to remove the tiles at its own expense by August 1, properly prepare the walls, and re-install the cladding in accordance with all building standards.
