The Investigative Department for Especially Important Cases of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov Region continues to investigate the criminal case opened in 2002 regarding the disappearance of a child in Kirov.
On September 26, 2002, a man took Seryozha Mussinov, born in 1994, from School No. 70 in Kirov. The boy, now a young man, has not been found to this day. At the time of the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of Russia (kidnapping) and Paragraph "v" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder of a minor). At that time, it was not possible to determine the whereabouts of the boy or the identity of the man involved in the crimes.
The investigation is ongoing. Investigators and forensic experts of the regional agency are establishing all circumstances of what happened. A subjective portrait of the man involved in Seryozha's kidnapping has been created. Accordingly, the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov Region urges citizens to report any information about individuals resembling the man depicted in the portrait to law enforcement authorities.

Description of the boy at the time of disappearance: approximately six years old, height 120 cm, slim build, light brown short hair, missing one front tooth. At that time, he was wearing a grayish-blue fabric jacket with buttons, green jeans, black boots, and a blue knitted hat with a white ornament and a pom-pom. He was carrying a backpack with textbooks.
Description of the suspected individual (as of 2002): approximately 40-45 years old, medium height (or short — about 165 cm), stocky build, light or gray hair, wore dark glasses with a thick frame. He was dressed in an elongated leather jacket and dark trousers. The man could have been working or living in 2002 in the Veresniki microdistrict of Kirov, as well as in the area of Surikova and Komsomolskaya streets.
